REPORT OF TEACHER
The interest and attendance are very good. Very littie tardiness
and nonmembership. The parents are alive to the best
interest of the school. With few exceptions, books were supplied
as each grade demanded. We appreciate the effort made by
our County Superintendent to raise the standard of the schools in
this county and to make them what they should be. Our motto--
"By our efforts we conquer."

REPORT OF TEACHER
Mt. Hope school is beautifully situated on the waters of Ten
Mile. Their is a fair attendance with scarcely any tardiness and
a great deal of interest manifested by the patrons of the school.
The trustees are men wide awake and interested in the welfare
of the school. The pupils secured necessary books and were
studious and attentive. The absence in membership was somewhat
detrimental to the school. However, the school prospered
nicely and is in a prosperous condition.
Respectfully,

REPORT OF TEACHER
The interest that the patrons manifested in behalf of the
school I did not think was as great as it should have been to
make the school an entier success. There were no books got
only just what the parent thought absolutely needful. Many of
the pupils were absent a great deal on account of sickness. Some
were absent I did not know why, nor could I find out the cause.

REPORT OF TEACHER
I beg leave to submit the following report:
The interest in school work here, with the exceptions of one or two
is dead. The parents in general have manifested no interest
whatever in the school, and my work has been made doubly
hard by failure to procure necessary books. The tardiness and
absence which was pretty general, did not to any extent, check
the interest of the pupils. This school has no apparatus whatever.
The school is too large for one teacher, the total enumeration
being fifty-nine and enrollment forty. The grading has been
sadly neglected and I have only partially succeeded in doing
this.

much sickness in this community that my school, like several

more than half what it should have been.

REPORT OF TEACHER
In the above report I have graded my school according to the
Manual as correctly as I could. I find it very difficult to do this
owing to the fact that the pupils are not provided with proper
books. Some parents will not buy books for their children, and
other say they are not able to buy, and what is the teacher to
do? I must say that the parents do not manifest as much interest
in the school work as they should. Some of the parents are
careless and indifferent not carring whether they send their
children to school or not. This makes a great deal of extra work
for the teacher. I was troubled very little on account of tardiness,
but owing to sickness this winter the attendance was small.

REPORT OF TEACHER

The school is beautifully located on a high elevation over
looking the majestic and placid waters meandering its way to the
far off sea.
The school ground is beautifully adorned with ornamental
and shade trees, making it attractive both in summer and winter.
The trustees and patrons manifest great interest in school
work as some where theachers themselves in an early day and are
still apace with madern methods.
The pupils were never tardy all being anxious for the convening
hour to arrive and the zeal with which they pursued their
studies is a guarantee that they are trying to prepare themselves
for the future.

REPORT OF TEACHER
In regard to the interest manifested by the patrons would
say; that judging by the visits to the school it is very limited, but
in all communities that is not a fair test. I think our patrons are
interested in the school work. The most of the pupils secured
the necessary books for their grades; but tardiness hindered the
progress to some extent, although I did my best to overcome it.
For the last two months absence caused by sickness and pure
neglect has badly crippled the school. We had but three pupils,
as you will see who where neither absent nor tardy.

REPORT OF TEACHER.
Some of the patrons manifest a lively interest in the school
while others are very indifferent. Pupils were well supplied
with books. Mathematics has been studied at the expense
of other branches.
The attendance was less than fifty per cent, owing in part to
sickness, a lack of interest. There were few cases of tardiness.
